SOLWAVE: May SOL forever be free riding the WAVES of reality.
The words Araw(SOL) and Alon(WAVE) on this piece are written in Baybayin, a precolonized script of the Philippines. The artwork at the center represents “Bathala” or the union between man, woman and God. A Babaylan is one who is connected to spirit guides in the spirit world and given gifts of healing, foretelling, and insights. This reminds us that as a whole, under natural law, we are all born free and equal on God’s planet.
Why seek freedom if we’re already free? Is there an underlining belief that we are not truly free? When we simply remember WHO WE ARE AND WHERE WE COME FROM, inherently we realize we all are Babaylan.
